Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus warned that the gate of Christian discipleship is narrow and the way is difficult. But those who faithfully follow His teachings find abundant life. On one hand, there is the wide gate – the life of self-indulgence and pleasure. The end of such a life is destruction. The narrow gate and difficult way leads to life. Jesus said that to follow Him would require faith, discipline, endurance, and commitment.
