If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
Those who opposed Christ were responsible for having heard His teaching and for seeing His miracles. Both of these added to their condemnation. They saw works which no one else had ever performed and had heard teaching that was with authority. To reject Christ in face of this evidence was inexcusable. Because they hated the Son, they hated the Father, and this was their condemnation.
