His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Jesus’ disciples thought that they were now able to understand Him for the first time. They said the reason for their understanding was that He was no longer using figurative language. Because of their understanding, they came to the conclusion that Jesus had all-knowledge and that He came from God.
