Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
In a short while, Jesus would be arrested, tried, and crucified. The disciples would forsake Him and flee to their homes. But Jesus would not be deserted because the Father would be with Him. It was the union between Jesus and the Father that they did not understand. This was the thing that would support Him when they had all escaped for their lives.
