Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Though Paul was content with his material things, he was never content with his spiritual attainment. He did not look at himself as finished with his spiritual growth. Paul was a man of single purpose, as he had one aim and ambition, to please the One who had saved him. He refused, as he progressed, to allow his past to be a hindrance as he pressed forward.
