Proverbs 17:4

A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.

An evildoer gives heed to people with false lips. They welcome lies, unfounded rumors, and false accusations. Liars like to listen to scandal, slander, and a spiteful tongue. It is important to remember – the kind of talk an individual feeds on is barometer of what is in their heart.
