1 Peter 5:10

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Peter wrote that victory in suffering is found when we realize that God is working out all things for His purpose and for our good. No matter how difficult or intense the trial we face, we are to remember that 1) God is the God of all grace, which means that His dealings with us are not based on what we deserve but on His love and concern for us, 2) God has called us to His eternal glory, which enables us to look beyond the suffering of this time to the time we will forever be with Him, 3) suffering does not last, as it always comes to an end, and 4) God uses suffering to educate us and to mold our character, so that we will become spiritually mature.
