We can be called the children of God, if are peacemakers  -  Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

 A blessing is given to peacemakers, as they shall be called the children of God. Notice the blessing is not speaking of people with a peaceful disposition or those who love peace. Jesus is referring to those who actively intervene to make peace. There are two approaches to intervene to make peace – the natural approach, watch strife from the sidelines or the divine approach, take positive action toward creating peace.
