If we confess and believe Jesus, we can be saved  -  Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

 Paul wrote about what must be believed to receive salvation –we must accept the truth of the incarnation, Jesus of the New Testament is Jehovah of the Old Testament, and the truth of the resurrection, with all it involves, God raised Jesus from the dead, as proof that He completed the work necessary for the redemption of fallen man and His Father is satisfied with that work. Believing all this with the heart means believing with one’s mental, emotional, and volitional powers. We are to confess what we believe about who Jesus is and what He did after He died on the cross.
