If we are dead in Christ, we shall live with Him  -  2 Timothy 2:11

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

In a spiritual sense, we died with Christ the moment we trusted Him as our Saviour. We were buried with Him and we have rose again with Him, from among the dead. Christ died as our Representative and Substitute. We should have died for our sins, but God died in our place. God reckons us to have died with Him, and this means that we shall also live with Him for all of eternity.
