We can obtain mercy and grace, if we come to God  -  Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Because of Jesus and our relationship with Him, we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. Our confidence is based on the knowledge that Jesus died to save us and that He lives to keep us. We can go into the very throne room of heaven and obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need. God’s mercy covers the things we should not have done, while His grace empowers us to do what we should do but do not have the power to do.
