God will lift us up, if we humble ourselves  -  James 4:10

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

If we honestly humble ourselves, in God’s sight, He will lift us up in due time. God honors the humbleness of His people, as that is the only way He can effectively work in them.
