If we love others, we will abide in the light  -  1 John 2:10

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

The one who characteristically loves other believers abides in the light and doesn’t have a cause for stumbling. This may mean that the individual themselves is not in danger of stumbling or they will not cause others to stumble. If the Christian is really living in touch with the Lord, the light will illuminate their own pathway, and no one is offended because of any discrepancy between their profession and practice.
