If we honor God, He will honor us  -  1 Samuel 2:30

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

The word “honor” means weight. The only way for us to honor God is to “weigh” who He is, able to do, and how He blesses. When God is “weighed”, we will find that He “outweighs” us and all that we have and are. But if we honor Him, God promises He will find some worth to “weigh” in us.
