When we put our trust in God, we will be safe  -  Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

The fear of individuals results in yielding to human pressure to commit evil or to refrain from doing what is right. The one that puts their trust in Christ will be safe.
