If we desire peace, we will need to stay focused on God  -  Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

  This verse is fairly plain – when we stay focused on God, we will be able to experience the perfect peace that He provides. The opposite is true as well – if we do not stay focused on God, we will not experience peace.
