God will honor us, if we honor Him  -  Malachi 3:12

And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

The reward for faithful tithing in the Old Testament was material blessing, while the reward for faithful stewardship in this present age is spiritual blessings. If we fail to bring our tithes and offerings to God, we are robbing Him and bringing a curse upon us. If we honor God with our tithes and offerings, He will bless, as He sees fit.
